I'm JC. I spent twenty years in tech, and it was a good run. Now I'm in my mid-40s in Los Angeles, doing something different: running groups, going back to school, reading deliberately, taking care of family, and trying to write about all of it. I'm not sure where it's going. That might be the point.

I've also run 9 or 10 marathons. I hold a basketball record at my tiny college that probably still stands: the most personal fouls in a season. And I started a men's group where we meditate and eat ice cream.

The men's group hit 25 sessions and is going biweekly in March. I'm studying David Whyte's "Besieged" with a reading partner. Spring semester: symbolic logic and calculus. Reading Pico Iyer and C.S. Lewis. The kids are growing up faster than I expected.
